Bowstrings Archery sessions are designed especially for children in primary schools between 9 and 11yrs of age. We are also working with the Schools Sports Co-ordinators to bring archery to secondary schools in the Chichester and Bognor area.
We can set up an indoor or outdoor range but during winter months sessions are indoors only. Within the first lesson we will have the children shooting bows and arrows safely, competently and eager for more practice! Did you know archery has other benefits too? It increases cardiovascular activity, develpes hand eye co-ordination, enhances maths skills, increases spacial and body awareness, encourages social interaction, builds self-esteem and so much more which can only benefit children.
We will assess the site and produce a risk assessment for you. All equipment will be set up before and removed after the session. The sessions are usually one hour but can be longer if required. The hire of all bows, arrows, bracers, finger tabs, targets and backstop netting are included in the cost. Our sessions run before, during or after lessons to suit your school and/or more intensive holiday sessions during which great fun is always assured. We can arrange a taster session, a fixed number of lessons or an on-going course.
